Spoonless began as a personal support system between friends.

Learn Our Story

Spoonless started as a duo: one was struggling to stay consistent with physical therapy, the other armed with a spreadsheet. As we tracked exercises, adapted routines, and lent hands-on support, we discovered that both of us were quietly managing our own chronic conditions—never quite having enough “spoons” to tackle everything life demanded.

Today, Spoonless is that “friend in your pocket” that connects you with your support system and helps you visualize and measure your energy in impactful, empowering ways. At its core, Spoonless is about helping people feel supported, capable, and less alone while safely managing their health.

Meet the Board of Directors

Liza Lennarz (she/they)

As an RIT Graphic Design graduate, she is the Founder of Spoonless. Due to a connective tissue disorder (hEDS), requiring ongoing physical therapy, their focus is accessibility and designing for quality of life.

Lily Stango (they/them)

With a Graphic Design B.F.A. (RIT '24) and a Liberal Arts A.A. (DCCC '20), they co-founded Spoonless with Liza and specialize in implementing strategic plans, organizing team efforts to engage the community, and ensuring business operations and visions.

Leslie Moran (she/her)

As a part of Deep Blue LED, a company that designs and builds permanent digital immersive environments, she is excited about serving on the board of Spoonless—at the intersection of creativity, access, and technology— to help create practical tools that make everyday life more accessible.

Hannah Miller (she/her)

After graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (Daemen ‘21), and diving straight into the wild world of PT during the peak of COVID, she brings experience as a provider treating individuals across the lifespan with various orthopedic, neuromuscular, pelvic health, and vestibular concerns.

Mission

To improve quality of life through well-designed, neuro-inclusive tools, supportive services, and community programs that empower people to build sustainable movement habits and bridge gaps in care. We aim to help individuals bring motion back into their lives on their own terms.

Vision

A world where everyone, regardless of disability, diagnosis, or daily energy, has access to the tools, knowledge, and community support needed to move, heal, and thrive. We imagine a future where healthcare feels collaborative and genuinely designed for real bodies and real people.

Values

Love in Practice
We lead with compassion and care, creating tools that support people without judgment or pressure.

Human-Centered Design
Everything we build starts with lived experience and is shaped alongside the communities we serve.

Access as Care
We believe accessibility is essential. Our work prioritizes universal design so care is easier to reach and easier to sustain.

Connection Over Compliance
Healing happens through relationship, not perfection. We support reconnection with bodies, care teams, and community.

Empowerment Through Understanding
We help people build confidence by understanding their bodies and progress on their own terms.

Integrity & Trust
We are transparent, ethical, and honest about what we build and why.
